Department of Corporate Services

Background

The Corporate Services Department (CSD) was established to eliminate redundant tasks across the core departments, enabling them to concentrate on their primary functions and ensuring the efficient utilization of staff resources. This enables CSD to ensure uniform quality in service delivery.

It was established based on the premise of two fundamental principles of:

  • Centralisation of all support activities that cut across core departments
  • Grouping related support activities under one unit and clearly separating different functions that require distinct expertise.

The department strengthens the Ministry’s ability to achieve its mission by providing coordinated:

  • Human Resources Development, Administrative support services, and advice in the areas of administration, Health and Safety, IT support, Finance, and Resources Management (Financial, Human, and Material).
  • Implementation of cross-sectoral government initiatives.
  • Timely preparation of progress reports in line with the requirements of its mandate, as outlined in the Ministry’s strategic plan.
